Vita is part our Conservative group, elegant investment bags in Italian veg tanned leather with contrasting bridle leather straps and rumbled nickle plated solid brass fittings. Bags that age and soften beautifully, only improving with wear. Made in London.

The veg-tanned Italian leather chosen for our classic conservative group of bags, allows the characteristics and marks made by the animal during its natural life, to be visible. The hides are purposefully processed so that the leather retains some marks and variable colouring and these are generally to be seen as characteristics of Ally Capellino bags. There is no use of any toxic or carcinogenic products in the tannage.
3-4 times a year use a leather conditioning cream to keep the leather supple and stop it from drying out. Babywipes are also good for keeping the leather clean. Don’t scrub it, but rub a little conditioner in after its dried. It is difficult to remove stains from leather, so don’t let biros and make up loose in your bag. Be careful of pigment transfer from dark coloured clothing, denim is a regular culprit. Oil, grease and ink are nearly impossible to remove. Fresh stains such as spilled liquids or food should be cleaned up immediately with a damp cloth or leather cleaner.
Before using any products, always test a small, non-visible area first such as the base. Apply product to a cloth rather than directly onto the leather. It isn’t waterproof, if its pouring rain, it might be better to use a different bag. However if it does get wet, blot with a paper towel, and then pack loosely with paper and allow it to dry naturally. Never place it in direct heat or sunlight for prolonged periods of time as this may cause the leather to crack or the colour to fade unevenly.
