Freddie is a good size travel bag that folds away to a very small space when not in use. This one is made in traditionally waxed cotton with a subtle tartan design. Inside there are pockets to keep things organised, and on the side a pocket that’s practically another bag. There is a removable, and adjustable over the shoulder strap, but the two top handles also are long enough to work over the shoulder. The long as it gives very good access. The packing and the size is good for cabin luggage on Annie, but the cheapest airlines. The fabric is proved with traditional wax, and therefore can be re-waxed.
This traditionally manufactured water resistant British Waxed Cotton fabric was originally developed for mariners from as early as the 15th Century. The Hybrid Aero waxed cotton is a robust Waxed Cotton with a water based finish applied. This gives the fabric a dry handle, with no transfer and can be cleaned with a damp sponge, so for many users it has the look and feel of a traditional wax but with far easier care and maintenance characteristics.
The performance of the fabric is equal to the traditional waxed cotton and the Aero finish gives the fabric a slightly worn/distressed look which adds to the character of the fabric.
The dyes used on these cotton fabrics are not as stable as on synthetics and some gradual fading can be expected from exposure to light.
Always allow the item to dry thoroughly after use, in a cool, airy environment. Never pack away damp.
Beware of colour transfer from the leather on base onto lighter coloured clothing or fabrics and vice versa.

Important read before purchase.
Our waxed cotton fabrics are from Halley Stevenson in Dundee. A company with a 150 year history. The age old processes give a relatively good traditional level of waterproofing, particularly on the oilier finish re-waxable fabrics. The dryer hybrid Aero finish has and lower level of water resistance. The dyes used in these fabrics are liable to fading under repeated exposure to strong light, so expect a softening of the appearance as the bag ages .
If you prefer not to see fading, we suggest you choose a recycled polyester version of the bag
