Animal, vegetable and mineral – there are waxes produced from all of them, and the more you look the more you see them around.


Effective in polishing, water repellence, mould resistance, and dispersion, it is used in a variety of applications, from cosmetics and daily necessities such as crayons, candles and car waxes, to industrial products such as paints, inks, adhesives, and tyres.


We visited Halley Stephenson’s to see the waxing processes going on in Dundee.
