The traditional waxed fabric loved by outdoor types and with a rich depth of colour that can be re-proofed with traditional wax dubbin. This limited edition, has all the Frank detailing - padded leather base, two big front pockets, padded shoulder straps, padded laptop section and side, drink bottle pocket. The wide-opening top has a heavy metal zip and signature double handles for carrying.
This traditionally manufactured water resistant British Waxed Cotton fabric was originally developed for mariners from as early as the C15th. It cannot be washed or dry-cleaned, but can be sponged gently with a soap-free damp cloth. Always allow the item to dry thoroughly after use, in a cool, airy environment. Never pack away damp. Reproofing with a wax dressing will maintain the waterproof qualities and extend your bag’s life.
Beware of colour transfer from leathers on base onto lighter coloured clothing or fabrics and vice versa.

Important read before purchase.
Our waxed cotton fabrics are from Halley Stevenson in Dundee. A company with a 150 year history. The age old processes give a relatively good traditional level of waterproofing, particularly on the oilier finish re-waxable fabrics. The dryer hybrid Aero finish has and lower level of water resistance. The dyes used in these fabrics are liable to fading under repeated exposure to strong light, so expect a softening of the appearance as the bag ages .
If you prefer not to see fading, we suggest you choose a recycled polyester version of the bag
